Parent and Family Engagement
The Tensas Parish School System is dedicated to providing a quality education for every student in our district. Research shows that students achieve more when their parents/guardians are supportive of education, participate in decision-making at school, communicate regularly with teachers, and engage with their child in learning opportunities at home, school, and in the community.
The parent and family engagement program of the Tensas Parish School System will incorporate activities through the collaboration of the community, parents/guardians, and educators to maintain an extensive program. This parenting program will provide guidance, information, and training to parents/guardians. The program will involve parents/guardians in decision-making and provide opportunities for parents/guardians to actively participate in the education of their children.
