GRADES K-12-NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION
Registration for new and transferring students coming from out of parish or out of state can go to the public school to register. Registration hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday.
Required Documentation
- Birth Certificate
 - Social Security Card
 - Guardian’s Picture ID
 - Immunization Record
 - Name and Address of Previous School
 - Custody Papers (*if applicable)
 - Divorced parents or parents who live at separate addresses.
 - Legal guardians, who are not the parents, with signed judgments.
 - Provisional Custody that has been notarized and filed with the Clerk of Courts office.
 
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
In order to be eligible to register for Kindergarten, a child must be five years of age on or before September 30, 2023. Children who attended our Pre-K program during the 2023 - 2024 school session do not have to register for Kindergarten.

 - Guardian’s Picture ID
 - Immunization Record
 - Proof of residence - ex: utility bill (electric, water, or gas), copy of utility deposit, lease, purchase agreement, or a rent receipt.
 - Custody Papers (*if applicable)
 - Divorced parents or parents who live at separate addresses.
 - Legal guardians, who are not the parents, with signed judgments.
 - Provisional Custody that has been notarized and filed with the Clerk of Courts office.
 
LA-4 (Pre-K) REGISTRATION
In order to be eligible for LA-4 a child must be four years of age on or before September 30, 2023. Parents MUST fill out a separate Pre-K application to determine eligibility for the LA-4 Program. Applications can be picked up at the Tensas Special Services office.

 - Proof of income or SNAP verification
 - Custody Papers (*if applicable)
 - Divorced parents or parents who live at separate addresses.
 - Legal guardians, who are not the parents, with signed judgments.
 - Provisional Custody that has been notarized and filed with the Clerk of Courts office.
